Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – SEMH Support (KS2)

Location: Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

A primary school in Croydon is seeking a confident and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role is well-suited to someone who can build strong relationships and provide consistent support to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

The Role:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support for KS2 pupils with SEMH needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being in the classroom
  • Implement tailored strategies to help pupils remain engaged in learning
  • Support teachers in delivering a structured, safe, and nurturing environment
  • Encourage resilience, independence, and confidence in pupils

About You:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs is essential
  • Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills
  • Patient, consistent, and able to work under pressure
  • A positive role model for pupils
