Ortus Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Kingston, who are seeking to appoint an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role supporting a pupil with SEND on a 1:1 basis, helping them to access learning, feel safe and supported, and participate fully in school life. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo, following tailored strategies and providing high-quality support that meets the pupil’s individual needs.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a good standard of education, including GCSE/Level 2 in English and Maths
• Have prior experience supporting primary-aged pupils within a classroom setting
• Be confident in managing behaviour and encouraging positive learning habits
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Act as a positive role model for all pupils
