We are working with a highly regarded all-through school in Tooting that is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in education while making a meaningful difference to pupils’ learning and development.

The successful candidate will work either as a classroom-based Teaching Assistant or provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), depending on the needs of the school.

You will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning, encouraging pupil engagement, and helping children develop both academically and socially within a welcoming and inclusive environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative school team.
• A genuine passion for education and helping young learners succeed.

Previous experience within EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2 is desirable but not essential. Qualifications such as an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant (or equivalent), a valid First Aid qualification, or experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be advantageous, although full support will be provided for the right candidate.
