EYFS Behaviour Mentor | Brent
Ortus Recruitment are excited to present the opportunity for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join the Early Years team at a lovely, mainstream Ofsted-rated ‘good‘ Primary School, supporting with behaviour management.
This is an amazing opportunity to be at the fore-front of children’s learning and development while being consistently aided and encouraged by the Senior Leadership Team and fellow staff members, with the potential to progress on to a Teacher Training programme if deemed an ideal candidate.
EYFS Teaching Assistant role:
- Take initiative, be flexible and proactive
- Work in reception in the morning and nursery in the afternoon
- Work alongside class teacher to manage classroom behaviour
- Support children with additional needs on a 1:1 basis
- Lead numeracy, phonics and literacy interventions in small groups to raise low attainment levels and reach set targets
- Engage pupils with the EYFS curriculum
Main Expectations:
- 3+ months experience supporting children in a classroom environment (desirable)
- Have a level 3 qualification, e.g. CACHE level 3 or a degree in a relevant subject e.g. psychology or education (desirable)
- Strong numeracy/literacy skills
- Strong behaviour management
- Knowledge of the curriculum (desirable)
- Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
