Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant | Wimbledon

A fantastic Ofsted rated “Good” school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within Key Stage 1, supporting the class Teacher in the preparation and delivery of lessons as well as supporting pupils with low attainment by leading English and Math’s interventions. You may also be required to work on a 1:1 basis with children who have mild to moderate SEN.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or recent graduate who is considering a career in education.

This position has the potential to turn permanent and you may undertake Teacher training and CPD training courses in future!

The successful candidate / Teaching Assistant will:

• Support children with their learning and development during lessons or activities as directed by the class teacher.
• Assess and record children’s attainment and progress.
• Lead small group sessions and interventions according to teacher’s planning.
• Participate in Performance Management activities and also further training and professional development sessions as they arise.
• Demonstrate a good standard of written and spoken English and a good subject knowledge of Mathematics
