Teaching Assistant | Morden| Full-time

Ortus Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a partnership school in the London Borough of Merton. They are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support KS2 pupils who have behavioural needs. The Teaching Assistant will need experience working within the classroom setting within a similar job role.

Responsibilities:

· Supporting pupils in KS2 with their learning needs, on a whole group, as well as 1:1/small group basis.

· Using excellent behavioural management skills with a firm but fair approach.

· Planning individual pupils/small group sessions.

· Encouraging the development of the students learning within the classroom liaising with the class teacher, as well as SENCO where needed.

Requirements for the candidate:

· Have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant within the classroom setting.

· Have an understanding (or experience) of behaviour management strategies.

· Holing a Level 2 in supporting teaching and learning, above or equivalent.
