Ortus Recruitment is working on behalf of a primary school based in Hammersmith and Fulham who are seeking an experienced SEN or SEMH Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a difference with vulnerable children and working to improve negative behaviour patterns.

Our partner school is a three form entry mainstream primary school, based in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham with excellent transport links and a fantastic reputation in the local area.

They have excellent facilities and recently received an “Outstanding” Ofsted rating.  

Person Specification – Behaviour support TA/LSA

• Restraint Training  – (E.G. PRICE, Team Teach, MAPA)  
• Experience supporting students with SEMH/Challenging Behaviour  
• Strong Subject Knowledge
• Proactive, Reliable & punctual
• Ability to develop rapport with SEN individuals

About the Role – Behaviour support TA/LSA

You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 3 pupil who has an EHCP for SEMH, using resources to help the pupil understand and engage in lessons set by the class teacher.

You will need to nurture and mentor the pupil as well as supporting them academically. Under the guidance of the SENCO you’ll be responsible for implementing positive behaviour strategies aimed at improving negative behaviour patterns, helping the pupil to achieve up to their full potential.
