Role:

• Position: Teaching Assistant
• Pay: £85 – £100 per day, (£425 – £500 per week) PAYE

ORTUS RECRUITMENT are working alongside a recently developed Mainstream Primary school who are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their fast growing staff team. The school is Located in the London Borough of Lewisham, Deptford. The school boasts an extremely positive working environment amongst staff with staff wellbeing meetings being held weekly. The Senior Leadership Team are inspiring, motivating and dedicated to upskilling the successful candidate with CPD courses and Teacher Training opportunities.

The successful candidate will have experience working alongside children in a school or social setting. They will be passionate about working with children and dedicated to helping them develop academic, emotional and social skills.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have a natural passion for working with children
• The ideal candidate will have experience working in a care or social setting alongside children and/or young adults
• The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent
• The ideal candidate will have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment, £52)

Within this role, the successful candidate will be required to work alongside the Class Teacher in a Year 6 class supporting the pupils. You will be required to assist the Class Teacher in preparing and setting out tasks and activities for the students to complete. You will be responsible for undertaking administrative duties such as marking class work/homework as well as photocopying and laminating work.
