Ortus Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in Brixton. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support children’s learning, both in and out of the classroom. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills as a teaching assistant while making a real difference to the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the class teacher to provide support to students
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons
• Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Provide one-to-one and small group support as needed
• Assist with the assessment of student progress
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues

Requirements:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working in a primary school setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the school
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Able to work Monday – Friday (08.30 – 16:00)
