Learning Support Assistant

Are you a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for helping children with autism and ADHD thrive in an educational setting?

Our partnered mainstream primary school, located in the vibrant Wandsworth area, is seeking a skilled individual to join their team and provide crucial support to a Year 6 student with ADHD and ASD in the school’s resource base. The child recently joined the school and has EAL (Language Barrier) and the school seeks a candidate that speaks Ukrainian and English fluently, with previous experience supporting children in a professional/social environment. This position is a full-time long-term position and the school will require the candidate to be available for the academic year 2023/24.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Fluent in Ukrainian and English
  • A degree or relevant qualifications in Education, Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Drama, or Performing Arts or related field
  • Strong understanding of working with children/ young people, e.g., Youth Work, Mentoring, Tutoring, Childcare, Voluntarily
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to undergo a full Enhanced DBS check
