SEN Teaching Assistant
Ortus Recruitment is actively seeking a committed Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Streatham, starting in September. This full-time position focuses on supporting a dedicated SEN group, working closely with pupils who have special educational needs and challenging behaviour. Comprehensive training and CPD opportunities will be provided.

The Role:
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Working hours: 08:30am – 4pm (Term Time Only)
Responsibilities:
- Supporting multiple children across KS1 and KS2 with diagnosed ASD and other SEN needs.
- Providing 1:1 support across the whole curriculum.
- Assessing student progress and collaborating with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies when necessary.
- Participating in CPD activities, for which you will receive accreditation.
Requirements:
- Desirable Experience: Previous experience as an LSA/SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Qualifications: Holding a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
- SEN Experience: Experience working with children with SEN in an educational, pastoral, or personal setting is highly desirable.
- DBS Check: Must have or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK.
