An inclusive and nurturing primary school in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their supportive team. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored one-to-one or small group support for pupils, including those with SEN or additional needs
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons and activities
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting
- Is patient, caring, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Can follow instructions but also show initiative when needed
- Has a positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with children
Desirable (but not essential):
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs)
- First Aid and/or Safeguarding training
- DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
