ORTUS RECRUITMENT are working with a fantastic mainstream primary school located in Brockley who are seeking a Learning Mentor.

Job Role:

• 1:1 Learning Mentor
• Full time, Long term (08:30 – 16:00)
• Located in Brockley
• April start
• £80 – £90 per day, PAYE

In this role you will be required to work with a pupil who needs extra support in class with their core subjects. You will do this by helping the class teacher create differentiated work that meets the need of the pupil and feeding back the pupils progress to the class teacher and to their parents. You will be required to take the student out of class, to a one to one space to work closely and ensure you are giving them an engaging learning environment.

The school is a mainstream primary school located in Brockley. It boasts a lovely new modern building with loads of outdoors space for pupils to play. The school takes pride in its welcoming staff team and  their ability to create a stimulating and creative learning environment for children.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working 1:1 and in small groups
• An eager and enthusiastic approach to work
• The ability to manage behaviour effectively
• The ability to create a positive working environment
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (Or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52)
