Ortus recruitment are seeking a candidate to work 1:1 with a SEN pupil in a mainstream primary school located in Walworth. It is a fulfilling opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children to help this pupil with their learning and development. The school is a modern primary school with a welcoming and supportive staff team.

The role itself requires the candidate to work 1:1 with the pupil inside and outside of the classroom to assist them in reaching their targets in core subjects as well as supervising the pupil in the lunch hall and playground. You will work with the pupil to help develop their social and emotional skills as well as academic ability.

The school itself is Ofsted rated ‘Good’ and is well known within the community for its wonderful reputation and welcoming students.

The successful individual will:

• Be passionate about working with SEN learners
• Ideally have experience working alongside SEN learners
• Have experience working 1:1 with a pupil
• Be able to manage behaviour effectively
• Be assertive, patient and motivating
• Have an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
