Ortus Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Stockwell that is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to provide focused, individualised support to pupils with additional needs in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work alongside the class teacher and SEN team to ensure the pupil receives consistent, high-quality support throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one support for a pupil with SEN and/or additional learning needs.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development.
• Support the pupil’s engagement, independence, and confidence in learning.
• Contribute to observations, progress records, and communication with the SEN team.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Pay & Benefits
