Ortus Recruitment is proud to collaborate with a passionate SENCo from a vibrant 3-form entry school, seeking a confident and hardworking SEN TA to support a child in Year 1 with mild to moderate Autism. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work with a verbal, high-functioning pupil who has an educational healthcare plan and a statement of Autism. The pupil requires a level of nurturing and assistance in numeracy and literacy, as well as to follow directions within the classroom.

As a dedicated SEN TA, you will provide 1-1 support for the pupil, assisting with behaviour management, and collaborating with the lower KS1 team to plan and prepare engaging, fun sessions for small groups of learners requiring additional support. The teaching assistant role is full-time, 5 days a week, and due to start immediately and continuing until the end of the academic year.

To qualify for this role, you must have previous experience working in a primary school, nursery, or SEN setting, be a team player, demonstrate commitment, dedication, and resilience in your previous childcare work, have the ability to manage sometimes challenging behaviour, and be local to the Chiswick area.
