About the Role:

A primary school in Sheffield is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across the school. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and supporting children to achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils to support learning and development
  • Assist in preparing classroom resources and maintaining a well-organised learning space
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, stimulating classroom environment
  • Supervise children during break times and lunch times as required
  • Contribute to the assessment and recording of pupil progress

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a primary school setting is desirable
  • A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach to supporting children
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures
