Behaviour Mentor – Primary School Setting

Location: Colindale, NW9
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-Time

Are you passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential? Do you have experience working with children who present challenging behaviour and need additional support in the classroom?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to work within a welcoming primary school. This rewarding role involves providing tailored support to pupils with behavioural needs, helping them develop positive relationships, improve engagement, and achieve success both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs on a one-to-one and small group basis.
  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies to encourage engagement and participation.
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support individual behaviour plans.
  • Help pupils develop self-regulation, resilience, and social skills.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children in a school, youth work, care, or mentoring setting.
  • A strong understanding of positive behaviour management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional behavioural needs.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
