A reputable primary school in South West London is looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Behaviour Mentor to join its well-established, thriving, and supportive team.

This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them to engage positively with learning and achieve their full potential.

Main Duties:

  • Support teaching and learning across the classroom.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with challenging behaviour.
  • Assist with the preparation of the learning environment.
  • Help plan learning activities alongside the class teacher.
  • Liaise with teachers, the Inclusion Manager, and parents to monitor pupil progress.
  • Carry out observations and contribute to report writing.
  • Support children’s development in literacy, numeracy, and other areas of the National Curriculum.

Candidates Must Have:

  • A proven track record of supporting pupils and teachers within a classroom setting.
  • A minimum of six months’ experience working in a similar role.
  • Relevant experience supporting children on a one-to-one basis, particularly those with behavioural needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting children.
