Behaviour Mentor | Immediate Start | £80 – £90 PAYE | Full Time | Kennington (Lambeth Borough)

Ortus Recruitment is currently looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support our client behaviour school based in Kennington, that caters for pupils aged 5-17 years old. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual to join a team of professionals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young people. Candidates who apply will need to be available immediately as the school are interviewing and seeking for a permanent behaviour mentor.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with challenging behaviour, helping them to manage their emotions and develop coping strategies
• Implement and deliver intervention programmes to support positive behaviour management
• Work closely with the school’s Behaviour Manager and other professionals to develop and implement behaviour plans for individual pupils
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress and behaviour
• Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and staff members to ensure a collaborative and supportive approach to behaviour management

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour in a school or similar setting
• Understanding of positive behaviour management strategies and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Resilience and the ability to work in a challenging environment
• Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be an advantage
