Ortus Recruitment are working on a very exciting opportunity in a fantastic primary school in the Brixton area. The school are eager to appoint a new behaviour mentor to work with pupil’s with special educational needs. You will be working 1:1 with pupil who showcase challenging emotional and behavioural needs, as well as working with students in small groups, in order to help students overcome learning barriers and achieve their full potential.

This is a full-time position which will require you to work from Monday to Friday, for the remainder of the academic year with the potential of becoming a permanent role for the right candidate. (08:30am – 16:00pm)

Applicant Specification:

• Holds at least one years’ experience working with children.
• Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree.
• Strong knowledge of behaviour management is essential.
• Experience working with Autism and ADHD (preferred not essential)
• Is able to build effective relationships with children and staff.
• Can be a strong role model and go to person for children.
