Behaviour Mentor – Primary Schools (SEMH Support)
We are currently recruiting passionate and resilient Behaviour Mentors to support children within primary schools who have additional behavioural and emotional needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health).
This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, proactive, and confident in building positive relationships with young people who may display challenging behaviour.
Previous experience working with children is essential, and candidates with a background in sports coaching are strongly encouraged to apply due to the strong behaviour management, mentoring, and teamwork skills developed in those environments.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Helping children regulate emotions and engage positively in learning
- Implementing behaviour strategies and promoting positive choices
- Building trust and acting as a positive role model
- Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Calm, resilient, and adaptable approach
- Sports coaching background desirable
- Experience supporting SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is advantageous
- Passionate about making a difference in education
