Ortus Recruitment are currently looking for an individual with previous experience working with children who is passionate about helping others and making a difference on those they work with.

A well renowned school in Croydon are looking for someone to work in one of their Year 6 classes as a Behaviour Mentor. This is a challenging role so you will have to resilient and patient when working with the child.

The role will involve working 1:1 with a boy who has behaviour difficulties supporting him throughout the year and preparing him for secondary school. You will have to build up a relationship with the student and gain their trust so they are comfortable coming to you for any assistance they may need from you.

You will also need to implement techniques to aid the student with their behaviour and learning in order to help improve this.

The school offers great facilities and you will be joining an enthusiastic team of staff. The role will also include working closely with the SENCO regarding the child you are responsible for.

• ASD experience (desirable)
• Previous experience working with children
• Good with emotional support and behaviour management
• A fully enhanced DBS on the update service
• Can provide two references
