Ortus Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary school in West Drayton that is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their Year 2 team. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity to support two children on a 1:1 basis – one with Down syndrome and another with Autism (ASC).

The school is looking for someone patient, proactive, and enthusiastic about making a difference in children’s lives. You’ll play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop social skills, and build confidence in a supportive environment.

The Role:

• Provide 2:1 support for a child with Down syndrome and a child with ASC
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
• Support children with transitions, routines, and communication needs
• Implement behaviour and SEN support strategies under guidance from the SENCo and class teacher
• Work collaboratively with staff and parents to promote progress and wellbeing

Details:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
• £90 – £100 per day (PAYE) – no umbrella or hidden deductions
• Long-term role with the potential for a permanent placement
