Job Summary:

• Pay: £90 – £105 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Role: Full time, Long term, Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)

Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to join one of our Pupil Referral Units, located in the heart of Southwark, Peckham Rye. This Pupil Referral Unit, needs a candidate who can come in and hit the ground running, making an instant impact building rapports with both students and staff.

In order to be considered for this role you must have:

• A clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• Two obtainable Childcare relevant references

The requirements:

• You will need to have experience managing challenging behaviour, either in a school or social setting
• You will need to be patient and resilient
• You must have a ‘Can do’ attitude
• You will need to be passionate about working with children and dedicated to aiding their academic and behavioural development
• You will need to be able to commit to full time, long term work

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils across KS3, assisting them with their classwork and behaviour in the school. You will be responsible for liaising with the Class Teacher, the SENCO and the parents/carers to provide feedback on the pupils academic and behavioural progress, as well as ensuring the incentives are proving productive.
