Ortus Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a small bilingual Independent school in Hammersmith, who are seeking an Early Years Practitioner to run their Early Years Setting, from September 2024. Interviews are taking place ASAP and there will be an opportunity to work within the school part-time next term in the run up to the end of the school year.

This is a unique setting with only 60 children across the whole school and class sizes of 6 – 9 pupils. It’s a Bilingual English/Russian school with over 15 languages spoken, so the successful candidate must have fluent English & Russian. An additional language and/or a strong interest in languages would also be an advantage.

The small class sizes make the role very attractive in terms of workload, and as this is an Independent school QTS is not a requirement. The also school have a wonderful community feel, in which colleagues are very supportive of one another, teachers also have a huge level of autonomy and control in comparison with other settings.

The school require someone with previous EYFS and management experience, so this would be a wonderful room for a Nursery Manager or Room Leader, looking to move away from the long-hours of an Independent Nursey/Day Care setting and secure a Term-Time role.

The starting salary will be between £28,000 – £32,000.
