Ortus Recruitment are currently working on behalf of an small bilingual Independent school in Hammersmith, who are seeking a class teacher to teach an EYFS/KS1 class to start ASAP. They are looking to employee someone initially on a fixed term contract to the end of the school year, with the opportunity for a permanent contract beyond that.

This is a unique setting with only 60 children across the whole school and class sizes of 6 – 9 pupils. It’s a Bilingual school with over 15 languages spoken, the vacancy is for the English speaking part of the school so the successful candidate must have fluent English as well as a second language or at least an interest in other languages.

The small class sizes make the role very attractive in terms of workload, and as this is an Independent school QTS is not a requirement.

The starting salary will be between £27,000 – £30,000, with the possibility of this increasing in a permanent contract next September.
