Ortus Recruitment are currently looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support amongst nursery and reception classes in a mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Camden. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience within the Early Years sector and good knowledge of the EYFS framework.

- Full-Time and Long-Term
- ASAP Start
- £80-£100 daily rate (PAYE – No umbrella fees)
- Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ primary school
- Located in Camden
You will be expected to work closely with a child who shows signs of an ASC diagnosis and has speech and language needs. It is important that you possess a patient and nurturing approach to learning, can set boundaries, build a trusting relationship and support in the child’s academic, social and emotional development. Your other duties will involve but not be limited to:
– Provide care and supervision for toddlers in an early years setting
– Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development
– Create a safe and nurturing environment for children
– Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
– Observe and assess children’s progress and communicate with parents/guardians
– Maintain accurate records of children’s attendance, behaviour, and development
– Collaborate with other educators to plan and coordinate curriculum
– Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
Requirements:
– Certification or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is preferred
– Experience working with children in a childcare or early years setting
– Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
