We are currently looking for an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with challenging behaviour and non-verbal autism.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join the team at a lovely and mainstream primary school in the Camden Borough. As an Early Years Teaching Assistant you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children in particular on a 1:1 basis with a child who has Autism and challenging behaviour. You will be responsible for supporting their development and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care and support on a 1:1 basis with SEN children in Reception
• Create and implement age-appropriate educational activities and programs
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child’s progress
• Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all children in your care
• Maintain accurate records of each child’s development and progress

Requirements:

• Experience working with young children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
• Knowledge of early childhood development and the EYFS framework
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with children of various ages
• Understanding of special education needs and strategies for supporting children with diverse learning abilities
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• A caring and patient nature, with a genuine passion for working with children
