A highly distinguished school in the Richmond borough are looking for someone who is friendly and helpful to work as an Early Years Teaching Assistant in one of their classes.

This role heavily involves working alongside the children throughout the year, helping them with their learning and development. As it is their first year of primary education there won’t be a lot of subject based knowledge, instead you and the class teacher will be using interactive methods to help students understand the basics such as writing, reading and numbers.

There will be a lot of play time for the children to encourage them to see what hobbies and interests they have. You will be responsible for shadowing this designated time of the day and support students during this to help them identify what passions they may have.

The successful candidate will also have to monitor the students in the class to see if any of them may be showing signs of having any behavioural or learning difficulties that will result in them receiving additional support in the future at school.

The school is graded by Ofsted as “good” and has a range of facilities for both students and staff to use. There is an amazing team of staff who all ensure they are providing the best educational experience for the children at the school.
