EYFS Learning Support Assistant | Primary School

ORTUS RECRUITMENT are working with an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ Primary School located in the heart of Southeast London, Hither Green. The Primary School are looking for a candidate to step into the role and hit the ground running in an exciting role within the schools nursery.

The role:

• EYFS Learning Support Assistant
• £80 – £92 per day, PAYE
• Located in Hither Green
• Full Time, Long Term
• Immediate start

We are looking for someone who is experienced and passionate about working with younger learners and to provide them with the support needed to help them develop emotionally, personally and socially. The ideal candidate will have a patient and nurturing nature and an eager and enthusiastic approach to working.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supporting learners with work and activities inside the classroom
• Supervising learners in the lunch hall and in the playground
• To work alongside the class teacher to manage classroom behaviour and help to ensure the classroom is kept tidy and organised
• Have the confidence to work 1:1 and in small groups leading Literacy, Numeracy and Phonics interventions
• Be able to build a positive rapport with the pupils and staff

The school is located in Hither Green, right next to a local train station which makes transport links easy. School lunch is provided for staff, free of charge or you have the option to bring your own food in.
