EYFS SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT
Ortus Recruitment is excited to be working with a specialist school based in Streatham that caters for children from EYFS to KS2. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN EYFS Classroom Assistant to work with our partnered school, to support vulnerable students through there early years of development in education. This role will be a fulfilling role and would be suitable for a candidate who has experience working with children that would want to gain experience in an established school.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 16:00pm, No Weekends
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher with planning and delivering a curriculum that meets the individual needs of each child in the class
- Providing one-to-one support to children with SEN and additional needs
- Assisting in the assessment and tracking of progress for each child in the class
- Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment for all children
- Liaising with parents, carers and other professionals as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience of working in a classroom environment with children with SEN
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and how to adapt it to meet the needs of children with SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education (or equivalent)
