About the Role:

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children in both Nursery and Reception. This includes working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and additional needs. Your role will involve:

• Providing 1:1 support or working with small groups
• Assisting the class as a whole and supporting the class teacher
• Fostering strong relationships with parents
• Supervising children during break and lunch times
• Managing challenging behaviour
• Motivating children and being an excellent role model

What We Are Looking For:

To thrive in this role, it’s essential that you have:

• A positive, caring, energetic, and can-do attitude
• A genuine interest in supporting children with SEN and challenging behaviour
• Enthusiasm for Early Years education
• The ability to monitor and record a child’s progress
• An understanding of safeguarding children
• A passion for aiding children’s development

Requirements:

• Degree holders or applicants with an NVQ/Level 3 qualification in Childcare
• Teaching Assistants with experience in school settings are welcome
