EYFS Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

• Have a nurturing and energetic approach to teaching
• Leading 1:1 and small group interventions i.e. phonics, numeracy and literacy
• Encourage participation from pupils with additional needs and support them where necessary
• Strong communication skills to liaise with parents and assist class teacher effectively
• Engage students confidently with the EYFS curriculum and help them raise attainment

Main Expectations:

• 3+ months experience supporting in an early years environment (desirable)
• Minimum 2:2 degree in a relevant subject e.g. maths, English, psychology or education (desirable)
• Strong numeracy/literacy capabilities
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
