ORTUS RECRUITMENT is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic candidate who is passionate about working in early childhood education. The ideal candidate will be required to be a classroom assistant in a well-supported EYFS class.

This mainstream school is Ofsted rated ‘Good’  and it is located in the London Borough of Southwark (Bellingham). The school is easy to commute to, it is in a great location in a dynamic and diverse area with an abundance of underground tube links and bus routes within walking distance of the school to ensure an easy commute.

In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for the care and education of children aged 0 to 5. Some of your duties will include creating a learning environment for the children. You will be required to help develop their social and language skills with games and activities as well as ensuring a stimulating atmosphere in which the children can learn and grow.

You will be consistently aided and encouraged by a welcoming and supportive Senior Leadership Team and fellow staff members.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A childcare qualification or equivalent and experience working in an EYFS setting
• A patient and motivating approach to teaching
• The ability to work well within a team but also able to work off of your own initiative
• Excellent time management and attendance
• An eager and enthusiastic approach to teaching/supporting pupils
