Ortus Recruitment are liaising with a welcoming and inclusive Primary school in the London Borough of Barnet – a dynamic area with an abundance of restaurants, cafes, shops and transportation links to ensure easy accessibility from door-to-door.

The school is looking for a dedicated and reliable graduate Teaching Assistant to support children in Nursey and Reception. This will require a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and a confident approach to implementing it.

Main Responsibilities:

• Be proactive, enthusiastic and patient
• Aid in social, emotional and personal development
• Confidently support on a 1:1 basis and/or lead interventions in small groups with children
• Work alongside the class teacher to ensure good classroom management, liaise with parents and promote safety and wellbeing

Main Expectations:

• 3+ months EYFS experience (desirable)
• Minimum 2:2 grade in Psychology, English, Maths, Education or other relevant or core degree
• Strong numeracy/literacy/phonics skills
• Understanding of the EYFS curriculum (desirable)
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
