Ortus Recruitment is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a KS1 and KS2 Teaching Assistant role in a lovely Primary School. The Primary School is situated in London Borough of Hounslow – a vibrant and multicultural area with numerous cafes, restaurants, shops and transport links.

The pupils are friendly and always ready to learn – and with your dedication to the role, the pupils will be able to reach their full potentials and further excel.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be proactive, enthusiastic and have a firm but fair approach
• Assist with behaviour management alongside class teacher
• Build excellent rapports with staff and students
• Work in small groups or on a 1:1 basis leading numeracy and literacy interventions
• Engage students confidently and help them obtain targets

Main Expectations:

• 3-6 months classroom experience (desirable)
• Have a level 3 qualification, e.g. CACHE level 3 or a degree in a relevant subject (desirable)
• Competent numeracy/comprehension/literacy skills
• Knowledge of KS2 curriculum
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
