ORTUS RECRUITMENT are seeking the perfect candidate to work in a fantastic primary school located in Camberwell. The primary school is looking for an eager, enthusiastic and motivated graduate to take on the role of a Teaching Assistant, leading interventions in English and Math as well as working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils.

In this role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for working closely with pupils who are behind their targets in core subjects. You will do this by leading subject specific interventions outside of the classroom as well as supporting the pupils in class where necessary. You will develop and deliver learning plans as well as supporting individual and group activities.

Previous experience in a Primary School setting is desirable but not essential

Teaching Assistant Expectations:

• Experience working with children
• Minimum 2:2 in relevant degree
• Strong academic background
• Excellent communication skills
• Confidently lead interventions such as English, Math and Reading
• Have a can-do attitude
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive
• Promote positive social, emotional and personal development
