Graduate Teaching Assistant -FT
We have a very exciting Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant Role that would be very well suited to someone who is enthusiastic, caring and has a drive to further their career. This self-fulfilling role gives people an opportunity to showcase their skills in 1:1 teaching with students that have special needs such as Autism, ADHD, language difficulties and behaviour problems. This is a really good chance for someone to show off their teaching/supporting skills to help children understand certain topics and overall help them improve their behaviour.
If you are also interested in supporting SEN children, mainly those with Autism, Speech and Language needs then this role will be well suited to you. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support 1:1 with an Autistic child in a Year 4 class. The senior leadership at the school are supportive and friendly, and have worked to build a welcoming atmosphere where learners and staff feel enabled to grow and develop.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 – 16:30
Duties Include:
- Preparing the classroom for lessons, such as setting up equipment.
- Supporting the teacher with the delivery of the lesson.
- Managing behaviour and engaging students with their own learning.
- Working with students either one to one or in small groups out of the classroom.
- Committed to support both the teacher and the students to succeed.
