We have an excellent opportunity for a position in a school in Ealing, West London to work as a teaching assistant who has experience with phonics. If you feel that you are capable to getting children to engage in this method of learning to raise attainment then we would love to hear from you.

Located in Ealing, West London the school is a short walk away from Ealing Broadway underground station, making it an ideal commute for candidates from across the capital. There are also good bus services operating frequently.

You will be working in line with the school targets to help raise attainment levels among year 3 pupils who are working below the national average.

Experienced in reading storybooks and non-fiction books closely matched to developing the phonic knowledge of its pupils will be a great advantage. Teaching to spell using known sounds and getting students to write confidently by practicing what they want to write out loud first are also key skills.

The ideal teaching assistant will:

• Have classroom experience as a teaching assistant
• Possess a teaching qualification
• Experienced in Phonics

The Head Teacher is keen to appoint an accomplished and capable Key stage 2 teaching assistant to make a real difference for its pupils and is hoping to find a dedicated practitioner with the capacity to slot into this lovely team.
