Ortus Recruitment is proud to represent a primary school located in Hornsey, Haringey Borough, currently seeking a Full-time Behaviour Mentor to join their dynamic team for an immediate start. This is a perfect opportunity for a recent graduate, Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistants who want to work with your pupil with SEMH/Challenging Behaviour and be a valuable member of staff, promoting positive behaviour.

Role Requirements:

• Experience working with challenging behaviour, preferably in a primary school setting
• Confidence in defusing challenging behaviour situations
• Previous experience supporting secondary students
• Immediate availability to start after the April half-term

Role Responsibilities:

• Support students displaying challenging behaviour both inside and outside the classroom
• Assist students with academic studies, particularly in core subjects such as Math, Science, and English
• Support or facilitate interventions designed to address EHCP needs
• Prior experience as a Behaviour Mentor is preferred
• Training in Team teaching is advantageous but not mandatory

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced in working with challenging behaviour
• Confident in managing challenging situations
• Available for an immediate start
• Able to commute to N8
• Need to be able to be flexible and work different years
• Run interventions
• Need to work Full-time Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 4 PM
