Ortus Recruitment are currently working alongside an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary school which is based in the Richmond LEA, who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a 1:1 in their Year 1 class.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with an already high reputable primary school, with great resources and an expert team in place.  

The Teaching Assistant role:

The role will be full time, long term on a temp basis and to start from September 2022. You will be providing 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN in a year 2 class. The pupil is high functioning and verbal, but needs support remaining on task and focusing on the learning being delivered by the class teacher.

Desirable Teaching Assistant traits:

In order to be successful in securing this position, you’ll have to understand how to work with a pupil with SEN, and good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum. The ability to build repot, trust and positive productive relationships quickly will be absolutely essential in this role.
