Ortus Recruitment are excited to present the opportunity for an assertive and confident KS2 Classroom Assistant to join the KS2 team in a multi-cultural and inclusive primary school in Finchley, Barnet.

KS2 Classroom Assistant Job Details:

• KS2 Classroom Assistant position
• Immediate Start
• Long-term and full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:15am-3:45pm)
• Daily rate of £75 – £90 per day
• Located in Finchley, Barnet
• Potential for career progression and teacher training in partnership with the school

The successful Classroom Assistant will provide support in a KS2 classroom setting by effectively managing behaviour, keeping the classroom organised, confidently leading numeracy and literacy interventions and working on a 1:1 basis with children with various SEN.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to progress within a school setting and gain invaluable experience working alongside a motivating Senior Leadership Team, with the potential to become permanent and/or go on to do Teacher Training in partnership with the school.

The successful individual will:

• Be assertive, reliable and proactive
• Manage behaviour effectively
• Promote positive social, emotional and personal development
• Have experience working with children with SEN
• Have a strong acedemic background – Level 3 qualified or Degree educated
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills

Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
