Do you have experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant?

Ortus Recruitment is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant. Our client school is located in Enfield Chase, in the borough of Enfield, and they are eager to welcome a new Teaching Assistant to join their hard-working and driven team. The mainstream School is in an ideal location within walking distance from public transport links, parks, cafes, and restaurants.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ability to take initiative, be assertive, and be confident
• Build up a positive rapport with pupils and staff
• Work alongside class teachers to manage behaviour, keep classrooms organised, and liaise with parents/carers
• Support on a 1:1 basis with SEN pupils when needed
• Deliver group interventions
• Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum

Requirements for the role:

• Level 3 qualification or above
• Behaviour management
• Ability to problem solve and take initiative
• Good communication skills
• Nurturing and patient approach
• Must have 3-6 months experience
• YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FULLTIME
