An exciting new opportunity has opened up to be part the KS2 team in an Ofsted-rated ‘good‘ primary school in heart of Camden – a dynamic and welcoming area full of culture. As a KS2 Teaching Assistant you will work amongst KS2 pupils to promote a positive and safe learning environment, where academic development can thrive.

Main Responsibilities:

• Show initiative, be enthusiastic and be proactive
• Assist class teacher with behaviour management, marking work and supporting where necessary
• Leading 1:1 and small groups of interventions i.e. numeracy and literacy
• Encourage participation from SEN pupils and build excellent rapports

Main Expectations:

• 3+ months experience working children in KS2 (desirable)
• Minimum 2:2 grade in relevant degree e.g. psychology or educational studies (desirable)
• Strong numeracy/literacy skills
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references

Teaching Assistant Job Details:

• Immediate Start
• Long-term and full-time
• Daily rate of £70 – £85
• Located in London Borough of Camden
