Ortus Recruitment is proud to be working with a delightful primary school located in Hounslow that is in need of a Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil in KS2 with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). The school is looking for someone who is proactive, passionate, and committed to ensuring that every child has access to the best possible education.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning, working closely with a Year 5 pupil who requires additional support due to their SLCN. You will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored interventions to help improve the child’s communication skills, as well as supporting them in all aspects of the curriculum.

The role is full-time with an immediate start, and we can offer between £80 – 90 per day depending on experience. You will also benefit from excellent support and guidance from a friendly and experienced team of staff, as well as ongoing professional development opportunities to help you further your career in education.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to have experience working as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools, as well as experience supporting children with special educational needs, with specific experience in supporting pupils with SLCN being a distinct advantage.

In addition, you will need to be a proactive and enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
