Ortus Recruitment is seeking highly skilled and experienced Learning Support Assistants to join our partnered mainstream primary school based in Tooting. Our partnered mainstream school had a ‘Good’ Ofsted report and a great Senior Leadership Team, who are willing to provide the best support they can offer to the right candidate. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with children with special needs and will be able to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-on-one support to children with special needs in a classroom setting
• Collaborating with teachers, educators and other staff members to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students
• Assisting with classroom management and behavior modification strategies
• Communicating with parents and guardians on a regular basis to update them on their child’s progress

Key Requirements:

• Experience working with children with special needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work well in a team environment
• Proven experience in creating and implementing IEPs
• A relevant qualification in Special Education or a related field is an advantage
