The role:

• Position: Learning Support Assistant
• Location: Merton
• Full time-long term
• PAYE £80-£90
• Immediate start

As a Learning Support Assistant you will be working with children who have challenging behaviour, supporting them inside and outside the classroom. You will be using different teaching methods to meet the different needs of each student and keeping record of the progress they will be making. You will also be responsible for taking the students, who have trouble concentrating in class, on movement breaks to calm them down and regain their focus.

Skills/Qualifications

• Proactive, reliable and dedicated
• Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with the students
• A fully enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52)
• Ability to be patient in stressful situations
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum
