The role:

• Position: Learning Support Assistant
• Location: Mitcham
• Full time-long term
• Immediate start
• 8:30am-4:00pm

The role will entail you working on a 1:1 basis with a child who has Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The child is impulsive and requires someone who can implement the interventions and strategies needed to maintain his focus. He also needs someone to aid in his social and emotional development as he struggles with his social skills.

The ideal candidate should be patient and understanding, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience working with children with SEN is preferred. You should also have a good understanding of ADHD and the ability to follow directions and take initiative.
