We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our Year 1 class and make a positive impact on our young learners.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant in our Year 1 class, you will:

• Work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of students.
• Provide one-on-one and small group assistance to children with diverse learning needs.
• Help prepare and organize classroom materials and resources.
• Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
• Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and parents as needed.
• Support students with daily routines and transitions.
• Foster a safe and engaging learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver tailored educational activities.
• Assist children in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
• Promote positive behavior and encourage student participation.
• Use creative and innovative approaches to engage and motivate students.
• Provide support during school trips and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
• A relevant qualification in childcare, education, or special educational needs is advantageous.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting the diverse needs of students.
